Summer Courses
The University of Oxford is the oldest university in the English-speaking world. It is a unique and historic institution. T. S. Elliot and J. R. R. Tolkien are amongst its well known graduates. One of the more recent graduates is Prince Hironomia who enjoyed the walks around the college and the concerts in the college chapel.
All our programmes take place in Oxford University colleges. Each college contains single rooms located on the college campus, which are attractive and well lit. They are seconds from the teaching rooms, dining hall and the common room. Double and twin rooms for couples and sharers are available upon request. The programme includes breakfast and dinner in the college dining hall. Locations for lunch are plentiful, nearby and cheap.
In our Summer Courses, not only we study English, but there are lectures from teachers at the University and a study tour each week.
Our tutors are well experienced in teaching university students and graduates. The maximum number in the group is eight.
As well as the time spent in serious study, there will be opportunities to visit several colleges, museums, art galleries, or to go punting or walk to a riverside pub.
Our student advisors will accompany you in the afternoon on excursions and arrange visits to plays, pubs, cinemas and concerts in the evenings and at the weekends. Above all, you can meet interesting people, develop new ideas and allow yourself time to practise.
The weekends can be spent visiting Bath, The Cotswolds, Cambridge, The Lake District, London,... or you can relax and enjoy the walks in Oxford and attend a church service on Sunday.
Included in our programmes are trips to musicals like the The Lion King, Shakespeare plays in Stratford-upon-Avon, etc.
